Free Spins: Eligible Games and Wagering Contribution

Not every game counts towards free spin wagering. A slot at 100% clears $400 of wagering with $400 of bets, while a game at 10% needs $4,000. Here’s how eligible games and contribution work, with twelve worked examples.

Four checks before a game counts

1. The game you're given

Check the exact title, studio and version your spins land on. Then check, separately, which games you can use to wager the winnings.

2. How much it counts

An allowed game can count at a set percentage towards the wagering. A game that counts 0% and a game you're banned from are two different rules.

3. What gets multiplied

Find out which balance the multiplier uses: the spin winnings, the bonus or your deposit plus bonus. You don't get to pick the one that gives the smaller target.

4. The other limits

The max bet, the deadline and the cashout cap still apply. A low percentage doesn't shrink your real stake when the casino checks the max bet.

Which games count comes from the terms on your bonus, not from the lobby. Save the game rules and any percentage table with the bonus before you play.

Twelve worked game-rule examples

Where a casino is named, the rule comes from its own offer page or terms. The percentage examples show how the sums work, not any one casino's current table. Use the currency and rules on your own bonus.

Spins tied to one named game

Ripper's 70RIPPER spins go on Red White & Bleu, and RC70GO's go on Wrath of Medusa. The spins belong to that exact game. Seeing another slot in the same lobby doesn't mean you can move the spins or use it for the wagering.

A similar name is a different game

SlotsandCasino's partner calls its 30-spin game Mystic Wolf, while the landing shows Mythic Wolf. Deluxe editions, sequels and look-alike titles from other studios can all be separate games. Note the full title and studio, and ask support if your account shows something else.

A game that counts 100%

Say your spins win $10 with 40x wagering on the winnings. That's a $400 target. On a slot that counts 100%, $400 of bets clears it. That's the total you bet through, not money you pay in or a forecast of losses.

A game that counts 10%

Same $400 target, but on a game that counts 10%. Now you need $4,000 of bets to clear it. That only works if the game is allowed at all, and a $10 balance won't last anywhere near that long, so stick to the 100% games.

A game that counts 50%

At 50%, a $2 bet knocks $1 off the wagering. A $400 target then takes $800 of bets. Your real stake is still $2, so it still has to sit under the bonus max bet.

Counts 0% isn't the same as banned

Slot Madness bans baccarat, craps, pai gow poker, roulette, sic bo and war from MAD25 altogether. That's an exclusion, and playing them can cost you the bonus. A game that's allowed but counts 0% just doesn't move the meter. Check both before you play.

Mixing two allowed games

Say both games are allowed. $100 of bets at 100%, then $200 at 50%, counts as $200 towards the wagering. That's $100 plus $100, not the $300 you actually bet, and it gets you halfway to a $400 target.

The multiplier uses one set balance

40x on $10 of spin winnings is $400. 40x on a $20 bonus is $800. Silver Oak, for example, uses your deposit plus bonus. These are different rules, not options you choose between, so find the balance your bonus names.

An allowed game doesn't clear every feature

Being allowed to play a slot doesn't always mean you can use its feature buy, jackpot side bet or special mode. Yabby's 100YA, for example, is for non-progressive slots and leaves out its 777 games. Check the terms for feature rules and how they measure the stake.

A percentage doesn't shrink your stake

KKA at America777 and Europa777 has a $5 max bet. A $20 spin breaks it, even on a game that counts 25%. The casino checks the stake you actually placed, not the part that counts.

The right game doesn't extend the deadline

Playing an allowed game at 100% doesn't help if the bonus has already expired. Check the deadline for the spins and for the wagering. Switching games, making a payment or leaving a round open doesn't add time.

The wagering meter stops moving

Note the game, the time of the round, your stake and the bonus terms, then ask support what counted. Don't deposit again hoping it fixes things. The meter alone doesn't tell you which games are allowed or promise a payout.

If the terms don't say whether a game is allowed or how much it counts, ask for the exact rule in writing. A game you can open isn't proof that it counts.

Which games you can play, how much they count, and what gets multiplied

Keep the allowed games and the percentages together with the bonus they belong to.

The spin game and the wagering games can differ

Note which game gets the spins and which balance gets the winnings. Then read the rules for using that balance. Silver Oak's CASH25 spins go on Cash Bandits 3, for example, but the 40x wagering counts on slots and keno in general.

A studio name doesn't make every game from that studio count. KKA spins go on Pragmatic Play or Platipus slots, yet only the game credited to your spins is the one to open first. Check the exact title and any feature rules.

Allowed and counted are two separate questions

First, check you're allowed to play the game with the bonus. Then check how much each bet counts towards the wagering. MAD25 and CAPTAIN50 count slots at 30x and allowed table games at 60x, so a table game takes twice the betting to clear.

A lobby filter, a play button or a game category doesn't replace the bonus game list. If the terms and your account disagree, screenshot both and ask which one applies to your bonus.

Use the right balance and the right percentage

What counts is your stake times the game's percentage. The target is the balance the terms name times the multiplier. Both have to match your bonus, or your sums will be wrong before you start.

Wagering is the total you bet through, not a payment or a forecast of losses. A free balance may not last long enough to reach the target, and reaching it doesn't promise a cashout.

Keep the max bet and the deadline next to the percentage

The maximum bet applies to your actual stake. Don't shrink a stake by its percentage before you compare it with the limit. KKA's $5 limit, for example, means $5 on the reels.

An allowed game doesn't stretch the spin or wagering deadline either. Check the timer in your account and any withdrawal request deadline separately.

Keep the game rules for your bonus together

The game name is only the start. Keep the percentage, the balance, the max bet and the deadline next to it.

Save the rules that belong to your bonus

Keep the casino, the offer, the game you were given, its studio, the wagering balance, the multiplier, the allowed games, the percentages and any banned features together. Add the max bet and the deadlines.

Use the wording for your bonus, not a general lobby page or a different promotion. Take a dated screenshot before the first spin, so you can show support exactly what you were told.

Ask support a precise question

Try this: "For the bonus in my account, can I play this exact game and mode with the bonus balance? What percentage counts, which balance is the multiplier based on, and what max bet and deadline apply?"

Keep the reply with your screenshots. An answer saying a game is available doesn't always mean its bets count towards your bonus.

If a round didn't count

Note the game, the round number, the time, your stake, the balance used and the bonus rules. Ask the casino which rule it applied. Never post your account details or ID on a guide page like this one.

Asking for an explanation is separate from asking for the credit back. Use the casino's complaints route if you need to. We can't open a dispute or promise an adjustment for you, but clear records make it much easier.

Check the exact game before the first spin

Whether you can play it, how much it counts and the max bet each need their own answer.

Before you use the spins

Note the exact game your spins land on, with the studio or version if it's shown. Keep the offer terms together with what your account shows.

Then check which games you can use to wager the winnings. The spin game doesn't tell you that on its own, and the answer can be much wider or much narrower.

When something isn't clear

Ask for the game, the mode, the balance, the percentage and the max bet, rather than just asking whether a game is available.

Keep the answer with the bonus it covers. Don't make an extra payment hoping it changes an unclear game or wagering rule, because it won't.

Our editorial tip

Check the game's allowed before you do the sums

A percentage only helps if the game and the action are allowed for your bonus. Keep the banned games, your real stake limit and the deadline next to your maths.

Real offer pages show why the spin game matters

Two Ripper codes, two different games

Ripper's 70RIPPER offer page puts its 70 spins on Red White & Bleu, while the RC70GO offer page puts them on Wrath of Medusa. Both checked again on 20 October 2026, with 60x wagering and a $180 cap.

That doesn't mean you can swap the spins, claim both or use every other slot for the wagering. The Ripper review keeps the full rules and the offer links together. The percentages in the examples above aren't Ripper's own figures.

Use the rules on your bonus

These examples show why the spin game matters. They don't tell you whether your country or account qualifies, whether a bonus will switch on or whether a payout will go through. Read the terms on your bonus before you play.

The casino bonus glossary explains unfamiliar terms. Compare free spins by country for your market, and keep withdrawal limits and bonus cashout caps separate from your wagering progress.

Eligible games and contribution: your questions

Which games count towards free spin wagering?

The ones on your bonus's allowed list, at the percentage it gives. Check separately which game gets the spins and which games you can use to wager the winnings. A game in the lobby doesn't answer either question.

Do all slots count 100%?

Don't assume so. Check the exact game and your bonus terms. Some casinos leave out whole groups, like Yabby's 777 slots on 100YA. The 100%, 50% and 10% figures in our examples show how the sums work, not any casino's own table.

What does 10% wagering contribution mean?

Each $1 you bet counts as $0.10 towards the wagering. So a $400 target needs $4,000 of bets on that game. That's the total you'd bet through, not a deposit or a cost.

Is a 0% game the same as a banned game?

No. A 0% game is allowed but doesn't count towards the wagering. A banned game, like roulette on MAD25, isn't allowed at all, and playing it can cost you the bonus.

Can I use another version of the spin game?

Check the exact title, studio and version. SlotsandCasino's Mystic Wolf and Mythic Wolf show how close names can cause confusion. Don't assume spins move to a sequel or a deluxe edition.

Do the free spins clear the wagering by themselves?

No. The spins create winnings, and those winnings usually carry their own wagering. Check when it starts, which balance it uses and which games count.

Does the percentage lower the max bet?

No. The percentage only decides how much a bet counts. The max bet checks your real stake. A $20 bet still breaks KKA's $5 limit, even on a game that counts 25%.

What if the casino doesn't publish percentages?

Ask support for the allowed games, the percentage and the wagering balance for your bonus before you play, and keep the answer. Don't assume 100% because there's no table.

Does this guide check my game or account?

No. The examples are just examples you can open and close. They can't see your account, switch on a bonus, place a bet or change your balance.
